Blessed Virgin Mary

Divine Maternity of Mary

2023-10-29T12:12:33-04:00

The central mystery of Our Lady's life –from which all her mysteries, privileges and perfection flow– is her Divine Motherhood. It is the reason God graced her as immaculately conceived, sinless, and perpetual virgin. Her assumption into Heaven and crowning as Queen are likewise rooted therein. It is also why she is Mediatrix of all Graces and our Spiritual Mother. In fact, all of Our Lady's apparitions manifest both her divine maternity and her spiritual motherhood of all the faithful.

Our Lady’s Eternal Thanksgiving and Greatest Sorrow

2023-10-30T22:51:28-04:00

The Blessed Virgin Mary united herself to her Son's Sacrifice in an all together unique way. Her participation in His Passion and Death was so profound, that she truly merited the title of Co-Redemptrix. Her thoughts and actions, as detailed in the Mystical City of God, provide an ideal model for how we are called to truly participate at Mass.

Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart of Mary

2023-10-24T14:08:33-04:00

Devotion to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart means to know and imitate her love and perfect charity: [1] her love for God, [2] for Jesus Christ, [3] and her maternal love for us, her spiritual children. These three loves lead us to reflect upon three stages of her life: [1] annunciation / incarnation; [2] passion and death of her Son; [3]  Mediatrix and Queen in Heaven. Truly, her heart is sorrowful. The fact that she willingly suffers so much is one of the greatest signs of the immensity of her love. And by her suffering she gives us a perfect example of [...]

An Indulgenced Prayer to the Queen of the Holy Rosary

2023-10-13T09:38:43-04:00

A prayer from The Blessed Sacrament Prayer Book by Fr. Lasance (pg. 508) O Virgin Mary, grant that the recitation of thy Rosary may be for me each day, in the midst of my manifold duties, a bond of unity in my actions, a tribute of filial piety, a sweet refreshment, and encouragement to walk joyfully along the path of duty. Grant, above all, O Virgin Mary, that the study of thy Fifteen Mysteries may form in my soul, little by little, a luminous atmosphere, pure strengthening, and fragrant, which may penetrate my understanding, my will, my heart, my memory, my imagination, my [...]

Why Our Lady Weeps

2023-10-13T09:32:04-04:00

The sorrows of the Mother of God give insight into every aspect of our faith. Her sorrows are not just something of the past but also of the present. She wept at LaSalette because God's holy law was being profaned. Consider how she must be weeping today as Francis and his synod seeks to undermine the Church and destroy the holiest things of God. This synod is the work of the devil. Now a bishop who defends the truth is persecuted by the Vatican. Pray to share in the sentiments of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. Offer your Rosary as reparation in [...]

2023-10-06T16:08:32-04:00

At the heart of the Message of Fatima is the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She is our refuge and the way that leads us to God. This Message carries graces particularly necessary for our times. Her Immaculate Heart also shows us how to truly and actively participate at Mass. Strive to keep in your heart the five primary sentiments which are in hers. Devotion to her Immaculate Heart, fostered also by reparation and the First Saturday devotion, will lead us to a profound union of hearts with her Son.

A Prayer to the Queen of the Holy Rosary

2023-10-06T13:46:16-04:00

The prayer from the sermon 'Octobri Mense, On the Rosary' given on 3 October 2010 (Raccolta No. 399) Queen of the most Holy Rosary, in these times of such brazen impiety, manifest thy power with the signs of thine ancient victories, and from thy throne, whence thou dost dispense pardon and graces, mercifully regard the Church of thy Son, His Vicar on earth, and every order of clergy and laity, who are sore oppressed in the mighty conflict. Do thou, who art the powerful vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God’s justice is [...]

The Assumption The Mass Union with Christ

2023-09-29T08:50:39-04:00

"By the grace of God I am what I am and His grace in me has not been void." This passage from today's epistle aptly summarizes the life of St. Paul. But it should also hold true for each one of us. And it is especially applicable to Our Lady, in whom we see the grandeur and effectiveness of God's grace when man cooperates with God. The mysteries of Our Lady, which show her always full of grace and increasing in grace throughout her life, also reflect what God desires for each of us. The goal of Our Lady's Assumption, and [...]

2023-09-18T12:16:42-04:00

Every person is created to profess true Faith in Jesus Christ and to truly love Him. This is precisely what we do when receive Holy Communion worthily. This is the path to Heaven. It applies to us all. And Mary is an integral part. She suffers so much because she loves so much. On the occasion of his nephew's First Holy Communion, Fr. Rodríguez considers Our Lady of Sorrows role in the Sacrifice of her Son and Its fruits.
