When offered to the Father, the Precious Blood of Jesus brings down an abundance of mercy and forgiveness. Using both theology, Scripture, and lessons from the Old Testament, Father explains why His Blood is so powerful to save and heal. Let us never forget, "Christ is the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world" (Apoc 13:8).
474 A.D. The Roman Empire is on the verge of collapse. Gaul suffers Barbarian attacks, natural disasters, and demonic activity. Many think the world is ending. Bishop Mammertus of Vienne calls for three days of prayer, fasting, litanies, and processions. These become the Rogation Days, offered to appease God’s wrath and to gain blessing for agricultural pursuits. These days help provide a Christian view of the world and oh, how we need them today.
Consider the image of an embassy to represent the Church. We are ambassadors for Christ the King. Yet for many centuries now we have been losing ground and raising the white flag of surrender: to Galileo and geocentrism, to Darwin and evolutionism, to Spinoza and rationalistic interpretations of the Scriptures, to ecumenical ecclesiologies, and even to jettisoning our liturgical patrimony. Now it seems the Church will abandon even the most basic morals enshrined in Natural Law. Let us pray to the Holy Ghost that we may once again truly be a Church Militant.
