Affirm the Real Presence

2021-07-12T08:10:16-04:00

True Faith in Jesus Christ means that we MUST receive Our Lord in Holy Communion - for He has commanded this! It is not just a faith of words or feeling, but the act of receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and conforming our life to this truth. If we truly believe, we must do our best to receive Him well; to fast, to prepare well and to thank Him abundantly. An excellent preparation is to renew your baptismal vows and make an Act of Fatih as our First Communicant does.

Eating Fire From Above

2025-06-19T12:07:15-04:00

Fire from below is delightful to the senses and fires up the imagination. It is fueled by the mass media and rarely conforms with God’s right order. But fire from above fills the heart and mind with light, grace, life, and the desire to fulfill the will of God. We receive this fire from above through Christ: His Sacrifice, His Body. St. Peter of Verona and St. Anthony Mary Claret are wonderful examples of what this fire from above accomplishes.

The origin of the Feast of Corpus Christi is found in a supernatural vision experienced by St. Juliana of Liege (+1258), a Norbertine nun. This feast was instituted to give greater glory to God. Unfortunately, many have become unappreciative and indifferent towards the Blessed Sacrament. We forget that it is not a thing, but that a Person resides in the Sacred Host -- a Divine Person! Our society is terribly guilty of devaluing people by objectifying them (regarding them as objects to be used instead of as persons). That mentality is being applied towards the most Blessed Sacrament. Numerous abuses occur in the New Mass, often due to lack of catechesis. This [...]

Humble Procession vs Pride Parade

2019-07-05T07:27:47-04:00

You can tell a lot about a society by its commemorations, awards and parades. Our society has opted to 'celebrate' perverse pride in the month of June. Our society's public sin, which calls down divine wrath, is far greater than that which existed in Sodom and Gomorrah or at the time of Noah. On the other hand, Holy Mother Church has for centuries dedicated June to the Sacred Heart and the Holy Eucharist. Her parades humbly process Our Eucharistic Lord through public spaces so that every knee may bend before Him. These liturgical processions not only pay Our King due honor, [...]
