Kingship of Christ

The Great Thought

2023-12-08T16:58:46-05:00

For Christ to truly be King, He must reign in men's minds. This means man assents – with perfect submission and firm belief – to the doctrines taught by Christ and His Church. How terrible that many occupying high places in the Church are instead seeking to undermine His teachings. We instead must remain steadfast and faithful to the Great Truth. As an example, consider the Church's teachings on the Four Last Things. Review a 'Short Catechism on Eternity.' Heed the example of St. Anthony Mary Claret. And in all thy works, remember thy last end, and thou shall never sin [...]

Viva Cristo Rey

Jesus Christ is God. Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ is King. We were born to profess this Faith. A major problem is how many claim to know and feel Jesus, but it is not about believing in Jesus "in our own way" but according to His way. Everything must be subject to Him: governments, schools, media, entertainment, sciences, arts, families, marriages, and each individual. Consider these examples of how He must reign in every person's mind, will, heart and body. [Father José María Robles was killed for Christ on June 26, 1927. He helped build a huge statue of Christ [...]

Dominus Universorum

2023-11-13T22:46:22-05:00

We say that Christ is King – but what does that mean? It means He must be king over all - every person, every family, every nation. His kingdom is one of truth and eternal life. So it means we must be supremely faithful to the truth. And it means we must reject the values of this world in favor of His kingdom than the values of this world. Now if Christ is King for all eternity and all-powerful [by nature], then His Mother is Queen of all eternity and all-powerful [by grace]. Nothing is excluded for Christ's dominion or from [...]

Decline of Public Authority

2023-11-06T13:53:21-05:00

Obedience is a moral virtue that inclines the human will to comply with the will of another who has the right to command. We must obey the just commands of superiors because they represent the authority that comes from God. A grave error is to think men ("the people") are the source of public authority. Our nation is founded upon this false principle. When those in authority do not acknowledge the divine source of their authority, they abuse their power, becoming despotic. Subjects in turn mock rulers and only comply out of fear. The result is social dysfunction. Having cast Christ [...]

Remember Christian Soul This Day and Every Day

2022-12-17T10:03:06-05:00

The three great feasts of Christ King, All Saints, & All Souls help us glorify God by recognizing the truth about God. We acknowledge Christ's Kingdom is an eternal and universal kingdom and reflect upon the Four Last Things (and Purgatory). Every person, not just Catholics, will be judged. The King will ask, 'Why did you not believe the Truth?' Read Matthew 25 in the context of Christ the King who will come to judge. We must be prepared for we know not when He comes.

Christ’s Kingship vs satan’s Revolution

2022-11-07T12:03:54-05:00

Father Denis Fahey (+1954), an Irish Holy Ghost father, wrote extensively on Christ the King and how freemasonry opposes His reign. Liberal Catholics warn you not to read Fr. Fahey. Yet by understanding his seven foundational principles concerning the Kingship of Christ, we see how the revolution has devastated Christendom and we can discern man’s rightly ordered return to God.

Annihilate Everything in Me that Is Opposed to Thee

2022-11-19T08:17:41-05:00

What does it mean to say Christ is King? We frequently sin against His kingship by using our time self-interestedly. Reject the kingdom of satan and the world which are opposed to His kingdom. Pray that He reign in you. Be faithful to the truth. Adore the virtues in Christ. Render to God that which is His. We were created for Christ and are to offer Him all our being.

Public and Social Crime

Anyone who has authority - religious or secular - has that power from God and each one who exercises authority must exercise it in accordance with God's law. It is a public crime to act as if there is no God or that the true religion can't be known by a state. In Immortale Dei (1885), Pope Leo XIII explains the duties of the state towards God. He provides the doctrine all Catholics must believe; we must draw out its practical conclusion.

Absolute Sovereignty of the Sacred Heart

2022-09-18T06:37:36-04:00

What Jesus desires above all is our hearts and He wants to reign and rule in our hearts through His love. The Sacred Heart has a very special love for sinners and a great desire for their conversion. We must promote the kingly and social aspects of His reign. Civil society has to be organized according to Catholic principles. The state has the responsibility to safeguard God's law and make sure it is obeyed by all. Yet Christ's Heart, love, and reign are almost universally scorned, despised and rejected. Incredibly enough, this is also true within the Catholic Church. Do the [...]

Thy Kingdom Come

2022-11-07T12:37:53-05:00

Every time we pray the Our Father, we pray for the coming of Christ's Kingdom. This means we pray for the propagation of His Church, for the conversion of all sinners, and that Christ reign in our heart, mind, will and body. Too many think Christ need not be acknowledged as King by society and nations. Yet all things exist for His honor and glory. Consider these three truths: [1] You must prize God's kingdom above all things. [2] You must labor to obtain His Kingdom. [3] You are an exile and must render a full account of your life.
