Who is the Holy Ghost? What does He do? How are we to pray to Him? We find a simple answer in the Church's prayer. Come, and bring us the Truth. Come, and fill us with Thy Love. The Holy Ghost comes to heal the wounds which we all carry in our heart and soul, wounds caused by those we should trust most and who should most willingly sacrifice for us. We can't do it on our own. Without Him we are lost. Invoke the Holy Ghost, asking Him to enlighten, purify, console, heal, strengthen and sanctify you.

Jesus brings us salvation — but He does not come alone. He comes as a member of the family. With His Incarnation and Nativity, He brings the model for all families. Through this Christmas feast, Christ teaches: [1] Marriage is something supremely sacred. It comes from God. He has willed it to be a primary instrument of our salvation and provides the laws which govern it. How might modern ecclesiastics evaluate Our Lord's selection of Twelve Apostles? Thomas the doubter would surely have been guilty of lowering morale. It seems Advent is a time when all are somewhat affected thus. The only way to be healed is the same way St. Thomas was cured of his doubt. Suffering (wounds) must be offered redemptively for the healing of ourselves and others.
