Today’s Feast - Candlemas and the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary - marks the end of the Christmas Season. Christmas ends with a splendorous confession of faith: the Infant Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem of Judea, is true God and true Man, He is salvation, light, and glory for the people of Israel and for all the gentile world. Essential aspects of the true meaning of Christmas is that [1] Jesus Christ always comes to us through Mary and that [2] He is the true light. As light, Christ brings us the Truth though His Church. One example of this is the ‘Sixteen rules of a Christian Life.’
