Perhaps more than at any other time during the year, this is the time when one can see the vast chasm that exists between the world – and those that are worldly – and the kingdom of heaven and how we are supposed to live as true Catholics. This is the holy season of Advent. It is not a time to be buying, partying, celebrating Christmas, and be consumed by worldly preoccupations. The world as we know it is passing away. It will be destroyed by fire. Resist the enemies of your soul and prepare for the three-fold coming of Christ!
