In the 1940s, Fr. Thomas McGlynn was contracted to carve the large statue destined to go over the main doors of the Basilica at Fatima. In order to make the statue as accurate as possible, he met and spoke with Sr. Dores (Sr. Lucia as a Dorothean sister). Fr. McGlynn later published his book in 1951, entitled The Vision of Fatima. Many interesting details are presented in this book. For example, we learn something about the personality of Sr. Lucia, that Pope Pius XII's 1942 consecration was insufficient, and that there may be more about Russia that was not published. Our Lady's Message from Fatima is more relevant than ever and we must continue to pray intensely for the consecration of Russia.
