St. Peter Claver frequently aided those who were condemned to death by the state. Today many are claiming that 'Church doctrine' on this matter can change. This is false. It is a settled point of doctrine taught in Sacred Scripture, Tradition, and Church Magisterium. Such teaching can never change or be contradicted.
