A SOLEMN ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY (from Fr. Rodríguez's Sermon on 22 August 2019)

by Venerable Pope Pius XII

MOST HOLY VIRGIN MARY, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of thy Son on earth, I consecrate myself and my family to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and I recommend to thee all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept my consecration, dearest Mother, and use me as thou wish to accomplish thy designs in the world.

O SORROWFUL AND IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over me, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, my King. Save me from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in my heart and home the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully. I come with confidence to thee, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame me with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed thine own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make my heart and home thy shrine, and through me, make the Heart of Jesus, together with thy rule, triumph in every heart and home. Amen.

AN ACT OF FAITH (from Fr. Rodríguez's Sermon on 23 June 2019)

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee. I ask pardon of Thee for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee.

My God, I believe all that the holy Church teaches me to believe, because Thou, Who art infallible truth, hast revealed it. I believe that Thou art the Creator and Lord of Heaven and earth, Who eternally rewardest the just in paradise and chastisest sinners in hell.

I believe that Thou art one God in essence, but three in Person, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; three in Person, but only One God.

I believe that God the Son, in order to save us and redeem us from our sins, became man, and died upon the cross. I believe that the most holy Virgin Mary was conceived without sin, that she is truly Mother of God, and that she was ever a virgin. I believe that Jesus Christ, the third day after His death, rose again by His own power, and, after forty days, ascended to Heaven, where He is seated on the right hand of the Eternal Father, equal to Him in majesty and glory. I believe that, at the last day, Jesus Christ shall come to judge all men who shall then rise from their graves.

I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the only true Church, outside of which there is no salvation. I believe in the communion of the saints; that is to say, that every one of the faithful who is in a state of grace participates in the merits of all the just. I believe in the Seven Sacraments by means of which the grace of Jesus Christ is communicated to us. I believe the Ten Commandments of the Decalogue. I believe, finally, all that the holy Church believes.

I thank Thee, O my God, for having made me a Catholic, and I proclaim that I desire to live and die in this holy faith. Amen.

Of a truth I firmly believe, O good Jesus, and with lively faith confess that Thou Thyself, equal to God the Father in glory and power, true God and man, art verily and indeed present in the Most Holy Eucharist; for Thou the Eternal Truth hast said: THIS IS MY BODY, THIS IS MY BLOOD. I believe, dearest Jesus, help my unbelief; increase my faith in this great mystery of faith. Amen.

PRAYER TO BE SAID BEFORE SURFING THE INTERNET - Prayer to St. Isidore before going on the Internet

Almighty and Eternal God, who created us in Thy image and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the Divine Person of Thy only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, bishop and doctor, during our journey through the internet, we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

SALUTATION TO THE HEART OF JESUS AND MARY - Prayer by St. John Eudes (from Fr. Rodríguez's Conference on 3 March 2019

Hail, Heart most holy, Hail, Heart most meek, Hail, Heart most humble,
Hail, Heart most pure, Hail, Heart most devout, Hail, Heart most wise,
Hail, Heart most patient, Hail, Heart most obedient, Hail, Heart most vigilant,
Hail, Heart most faithful, Hail, Heart most blessed, Hail, Heart most merciful,
Hail, most loving Heart of Jesus and Mary;

We adore Thee, we praise Thee, we glorify Thee, We give Thee thanks;
We love Thee with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our strength.
We offer Thee our heart; we give it to Thee; we consecrate it to Thee; we immolate it to Thee.

Receive it - and possess it wholly.
Purify it, enlighten it, sanctify it.
That Thou mayest live and reign in it now and forever. Amen.

MY GOD AND MY ALL - Prayer by St. Alphonsus Liguori (from 10 Feb 2019 Sermon)

My beloved Jesus, Thou art all my good. My God and my all, I prefer Thee before all the knowledge, all the wealth, all the riches, all the glories and hopes, and all the gifts that Thou canst bestow upon me. Thou art infinitely amiable; and how can I love any but Thee? Every gift, therefore, which is not Thyself, is not sufficient for me, does not satisfy me; Thee only do I desire, and nothing more.

O blood of my Jesus, inebriate me with the love of Jesus! O wounds of Jesus, pierce me with the love of Jesus! O death of Jesus, make me die to every love that is not for Jesus! My Jesus, I love Thee above all things; I love Thee with my whole soul; I love Thee more than myself. My beloved Lord, give me Thy love, and make me all Thine.

I desire to spend the remainder of my life in loving and pleasing Thee. In past times I was wretched enough, instead of pleasing Thee, to cause Thee so much displeasure. I could die of grief at the very thought. I hope that now Thou hast pardoned me for Thy mercy’s sake. I desire Thee alone and nothing more. I give Thee my whole will, my whole self. Take possession of me forever; make me all Thine. Draw me ever closer within Thy heart. Banish from me every love that is not Thee, who art my only good, my only Love.

O Mary, Mother of God! Thou after Jesus art my hope. I ask of God the grace to be wholly His. Thou canst do all things with God; I beg thee to obtain for me this grace. Amen.

Iesu, Rex Admirábilis (from 2 Jan 2019 Sermon)

O Jesus, King most wonderful and glorious conqueror, sweetness beyond all telling, wholly to be desired. When Thou dost visit our heart, the light of truth shines there; the vanity of the world is seen to be worthless, and love of Thee burns strong within us. O Jesus, consolation of all hearts, source of life and light of our souls, Thou dost surpass all the joys that man knows or desires. Let all men confess Jesus and ask earnestly for His love; let them seek Him, their souls aflame with love, and become yet more on fire with love in their search for Him. Thee, O Jesus, may our voices praise; may our way of life give testimony of Thee, and may our hearts love Thee now and forever. Amen.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord, alleluia. Both now and forever, alleluia.

Prayer to Begin the New Year (from 1 Jan 2019 Sermon)

I adore Thee, O Word Incarnate, true Son of God from all eternity, and true Son of Mary in the fullness of time.

Most dear Lord Jesus Christ, Who, being made an infant for us, wast willing to be born in a cave, to free us from the darkness of sin, to draw us to Thyself, and to inflame us with Thy holy love; we adore Thee as our Creator and Redeemer, we accept and choose Thee for our King and Lord, and for tribute we offer Thee all the affections of our poor hearts. Dear Jesus, our Lord and God, deign to accept this offering, and that it may be worthy of Thine acceptance, pardon us our faults, enlighten us, and inflame us with that holy fire which Thou camest to bring into the world and enkindle in men’s hearts. Do thou never cease to enkindle more and more in my heart the flames of Thy divine love.

Ah, my dearest Jesus, fill my heart with Thy love, so that I may forget the world and myself, to think of nothing but loving and pleasing Thee. I consecrate to Thee my body, my soul, and my will. Henceforth I will seek nothing but Thee, my God and my all. My God, Thou art my all, I wish for Thee alone and nothing more. Oh that I could spend myself all for Thee, who hast spent Thyself all for me! I love Thee, my only good, my only love. I love Thee, and abandon myself entirely to Thy holy will. Make me love Thee, and then do with me what Thou wilt. Amen.

CHRISTMAS DAY (25 December 2018)

Prayer for the Graces of Christmas by St. Alphonsus Liguori

Oh, my beloved Infant, my dear Redeemer, since Thou hast come down from Heaven to give Thyself to me, what else shall I go about seeking in Heaven or on earth besides Thee, who art my sovereign Good, my only treasure, the Paradise of souls?

Be Thou, then, the sole Lord of my heart: do Thou possess it wholly. May my heart obey Thee alone, and seek to please Thee alone. May my soul love Thee alone, and mayest Thou alone be its portion! Let others strive after and enjoy the goods and fortunes of this world; Thee alone do I desire, who art my fortune, my riches, my peace, my hope in this life and in eternity. Behold, then, my heart: I give it wholly to Thee; it is no longer mine own, but Thine. In the same manner as at Thy entrance into the world Thou didst offer to the Eternal Father, and present to Him Thine entire will, so do I on this day offer to Thee, my Savior my entire will. Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do (Acts 9:6), tell me what Thou desirest of me, for I am willing to do all. Dispose of me and of my affairs as Thou wilt, for I accept [it] all, and in everything I resign myself to Thee. I abandon my soul fully into Thy hands, grant that it may be always and entirely Thine own

O happy thou, most holy Virgin Mary! thou wert wholly and always God’s own—all fair, all pure and without spot. Ah, my Queen and my Mother, thou who art so lovely in the eyes of thy God, take pity on my soul, which has become so deformed by sin. But if for the past I have not belonged to God, now I wish to be His, and His entirely. Come to my aid and procure strength for me to be faithful to Him till death! God grants all that you ask. Pray to Him for me. This is my hope. Amen.

FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT (2 December 2018)

Prayer for Graces Necessary for Salvation by St. Alphonsus Liguori

Rouse up Thy power, Lord, and come! Come and help us with all the force of Thy grace. Be quick to deliver us from evil. Come, and save us, O Lord our God!

Eternal Father, Thy Son has promised that Thou wilt grant us all the graces which we ask Thee for in His Name. In the Name, therefore, and by the merits of Jesus Christ, I ask the following graces for myself, my family, and for all mankind.

First, I pray Thee to give me a lively faith in all that the holy Roman Church teaches me. Enlighten me also, that I may know the vanity of the goods of this world, and the immensity of the infinite good that Thou art; make me also see the deformity of the sins I have commited, that I may humble myself and detest them as I ought.

Secondly, give me a firm confidence in Thy mercy of receiving the pardon of my sins, holy perseverance, and finally, the glory of paradise, through the merits of Jesus Christ and the intercession of Mary.

Thirdly, give me a great love towards Thee, which shall detach me from the love of this world and of myself, so that I may love none other but Thee.

Fourthly, I beg of Thee a perfect resignation to Thy will, in accepting with tranquility sorrows, infirmities, contempt, persecutions, aridity of spirit, loss of property, of esteem, of relatives, and every other cross which shall come to me from Thy hands. I offer myself entirely to Thee, that Thou mayest do with me and all that belongs to me what Thou pleasest.

Fifthly, I beg of Thee a great sorrow for my sins, which may make me grieve over them as long as I live, and weep for the insults I have offered Thee, the Sovereign Good, who art worthy of infinite love, and who hast loved me so much.

Sixthly, I pray Thee to give me the spirit of true humility and meekness, that I may accept with peace, and even with joy, all the contempt, ingratitude, and ill-treatment that I may receive.

Seventhly, I beg of Thee to give me a love for the virtue of holy mortification, by which I may chastise my rebellious senses and [die to] my self-love.

Give me a great confidence in the Passion of Jesus Christ, and in the intercession of Mary Immaculate. Give me a great love towards the most Adorable Sacrament of the Altar, and a tender devotion and love to Thy holy Mother. Give me, I pray Thee, above all, holy perseverance, and the grace always to pray for it, especially in time of temptation and at the hour of death.

Lastly I recommend to Thee and Thy mercy the holy souls of Purgatory.

O Mary, most holy Mother of God, pray to Jesus for me! May His Kingdom come, may His holy will be done. Amen.

FEAST OF THE HOLY ROSARY (7 October 2018)

Prayer to the Queen of the Holy Rosary

O Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, in these times of such brazen blasphemy, heresy, and impurity, manifest thy power and crush the evils of communism, secularism, Islam, and modernism, which seek to destroy all that is Catholic. Crush the evil in Rome, move the Holy Father to consecrate Russia to thine Immaculate Heart, and help us to heed thy message at Fatima so that by prayer and penance, especially the Rosary, we may appease the just anger of God and obtain His forgiveness and blessing. Show thyself a Mother!

O Queen of the most holy Rosary, from thine exalted throne of mercy, turn thy loving and merciful gaze upon us: upon our marriages and families, upon our country, and upon the universal Church. Do thou have compassion upon us by reason of the miseries whereby we are encompassed, and the tribulations which make life bitter for us. See, dear Mother, how many perils to body and soul surround us, what calamities and afflictions oppress us! Show thyself a Mother!

Let compassion move thee, good Mother, compassion for our souls, for our marriages and families, our relations and friends, for our departed brethren, and above all, for the many souls who call themselves Christian and who, nevertheless, continue to wound the loving Heart of thy dear Son. We ask this day with tears for mercy, mercy upon the nations that have gone astray, mercy upon the entire world, and especially mercy upon the hierarchy of the Catholic Church, that all may return in penitence to thine Immaculate Heart. Show thyself a Mother and have mercy upon us all. Amen.

Queen of the most holy Rosary, pray for us!

SECOND SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST (18 June 2017)

Prayers to the Holy Ghost

O Holy Ghost, Divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to Thee my mind, heart, and will, for time and eternity. May my mind be ever docile to thy divine inspirations, and to the teachings of the holy Catholic Church, whose infallible guide Thou art. May my heart be ever inflamed with the love of God and my neighbor. May my will be ever conformable to the divine will, and may my whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Thee be honor and glory forever. Amen.

O Holy Ghost, Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, Spirit of Truth, of Love and of Holiness, proceeding from the Father and the Son and equal to Them in all things, I adore Thee and love Thee with all my heart. Teach me to know and seek my last end; grant me the holy fear of God; grant me compunction and patience, and suffer me not to fall into sin. Grant me an increase of Faith, Hope, and Charity, and bring forth in my soul all the virtues proper to my state of life. Make me a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, and an obedient child of Holy Church. Grant me an efficacious grace to keep the Commandments and to receive the Sacraments worthily. Grant me the Four Cardinal Virtues, Thy Seven Gifts, Thy Twelve Fruits. Raise me to perfection in the state of life to which Thou hast called me; and lead me, through a happy death, to life everlasting through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen

FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT (12 March 2017)

A Prayer to the Holy Ghost

O Holy Ghost, sweet Spirit of the Father and the Son, be Thou the life of my soul. Do Thou increase within me faith, hope and charity, so that I may believe in Thy word more firmly, rely on Thy bounty more confidently, and love Thy goodness more ardently. Divine Spirit of Love, do Thou who art a consuming fire, burn up within my sinful soul whatever is displeasing to Thee, and do Thou enkindle within my cold heart the fire of that burning love which Jesus my Savior came to cast upon the earth. Amen.
[The Holy Ghost Prayer Book, Rev. Frederick Hoeger, pp. 204-205]

Specific Invocation to the Soul of Christ

Soul of Christ, ever subject to the will of Thy heavenly Father, infuse into my soul the spirit of holy subjection. Soul of Christ, ever yearning after the salvation of men, infuse into my soul the spirit of holy zeal. Soul of Christ, ever most closely knit to Thy Mother’s soul, infuse into mine the holy love of that mother. Soul of Christ, sorrowful in the Garden of Olives, fill my soul with a holy and abiding sorrow: sorrow for my past sins, sorrow for my present unworthiness, sorrow for the sins of other men, sorrow for Thy sacred Passion, sorrow for Thy Mother’s Dolors, and the sorrow of compassion for others’ griefs and sufferings. Amen.
[Blessed Sacrament Prayerbook, Fr. Lasance, p.1084-5]

A Prayer by St. John Eudes

O Jesus, King of my heart, Thou hast placed me on earth only that I may love Thee. Oh, how noble, how holy and how lofty is the end for which Thou hast created me! God of my heart, since Thou hast created me only to love Thee, do not allow me to live except in love of Thee, ever growing in Thy love. Thou hast bought, at the price of Thy blood, every minute of my time and of my life so that I might use them in loving Thee. Too much, too much, alas, have I wasted on self-love, on love of the world, and on attachment to created things. Let me have no more days and hours, except to love Thee.
O Jesus, King of my love, increase in me the desire to love Thee, may I aspire to Thee incessantly; may I tend towards Thee perpetually; may I yearn for Thee night and day without ceasing. O Sweetest Jesus, give me life only that I may Thee love more and more Amen.

QUINQUAGESIMA SUNDAY (26 February 2017)

An Act of Charity

O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because Thou art all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

I love Thee, O my God, above all things, because Thou hast been so good, so patient, so loving to me, notwithstanding all the sins by which I have so grievously offended Thee. I love Thee, O Blessed Jesus, my Savior, because Thou didst suffer so much for love of me, an ungrateful sinner, and didst die on the Cross for my salvation.

O make me love Thee more and more, and [help me] show my love to Thee by faithfully keeping Thy Commandments all the days of my life. Amen.

Prayer before Holy Communion

O most sweet Savior Jesus Christ, how great was Thy love, which drew Thee from the bosom of the Father to this vale of tears, to take our flesh and endure infinite miseries and wrongs, yea, even the death of the Cross, and that only for us miserable sinners and for our salvation. O how great was Thy love! Thou mightest have condemned us, and Thou didst rather choose to save us: we were guilty, and Thou, the sinless One, didst endure our punishment to set us free. Out of love it was that Thou camest down to take our flesh; and when about to depart from this world to the Father, Thou didst leave to us this Sacrament as a pledge of Thy love, that after a new and wondrous manner Thou mightest abide with us forever; Thou whose delights are to be with the children of men. O Lord, how worthy art Thou of love, who dost so much for love of us! I desire to receive Thee in this Sacrament, that I may be more firmly united to Thee in the bond of love. Who shall separate me from the love of Christ my Savior? O that neither life, nor death, nor any creature may have power to do so. Amen.
[The Baltimore Book of Prayers, p.338-9]

Ave Regína cælórum

Hail Queen of Heaven! Hail Lady of the angels! Hail blessed root and gate, from which came light upon the world! Rejoice, O glorious Virgin, that surpassest all in beauty! Hail, most lovely Queen! and pray to Christ for us.
V. Vouchsafe, O holy Virgin, that I may praise thee.
R. Give me power against thine enemies.
Let us pray. Grant, o merciful God, Thy protection to us in our weakness; that we who celebrate the memory of the holy Mother of God, may, through the aid of her intercession, rise again from our sins. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

SEPTUAGESIMA SUNDAY (12 February 2017)

To thee, O Immaculate and Sorrowful Mother of God, do we have recourse in this supreme hour of mankind’s need, amidst such storms indeed as have never been known, shaking Mother Church to her very foundations.

Thou, who standing by the foot of the Cross, didst once share so closely in the sufferings of thy Divine Son, with what compassion art thou not moved today for the suffering of His Mystical Body, the Church! Russia has so spread her errors throughout the world that the human element of the Church has been widely infected; within the very bosom of the Church the virus of a false ecumenism poisons souls without number, either tearing them away or keeping them outside of the unity of the true Faith and the one and only Ark of Salvation. Indeed, the good are being persecuted and martyred, and the See of Peter itself is under sinister attack by a bishop dressed in white.

As we begin today to prepare for the coming holy season of Lent, we wish to place ourselves under thy powerful and loving motherly protection, thou to whom God promised from the beginning wouldst crush the head of the infernal serpent. We look to thine Immaculate Heart, a perfect image of the Divine Heart of thy Son. This shall be our refuge and the way that will lead us to God.

O most sweet Mother and Queen, we consecrate ourselves this day to Thine Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart. We consecrate our eyes, our ears, our mouths, our hearts, our whole being, without reserve. We relinquish all that we have that we may be wholly thine. Wherefore, good Mother, as we are all thine, keep us and guard us in thy Heart; bring us to the restoration of all things in Christ through the glorious triumph of thine Immaculate Heart. Amen.

IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY (05 February 2017)

O Heart of Mary, Mother of God, and our Mother; Heart most worthy of love, in which the adorable Trinity is ever well-pleased, worthy of the veneration and love of all the Angels and of all men; Heart most like to the Heart of Jesus, of which thou art the perfect image; Heart, full of goodness, ever compassionate toward our miseries; deign to melt our icy hearts and grant that they may be wholly changed into the likeness of the Heart of Jesus, our divine Savior. Pour into them the love of thy virtues, enkindle in them that divine fire with which thou thyself dost ever burn. In thee let Holy Church find a safe shelter; protect her and be her dearest refuge, her tower of strength, impregnable against every assault of her enemies. Be thou the way which leads to Jesus, and the channel, through which we receive all the graces needful for our salvation. Be our refuge in time of trouble, our solace in the midst of trial, our strength against temptation, our haven in persecution, our present help in every danger, and especially at the hour of death. May the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary be known, praised, blessed, loved, worshipped and glorified now and always, here and in all places! Amen.
[Raccolta #393]

WEDDING AT CANA (22 January 2017)

Immaculate Virgin, who being conceived without sin, didst direct every movement of thy most pure heart toward God, and wast always submissive to His divine will; obtain for me the grace to hate sin with all my heart and to learn from thee to live in perfect resignation to the will of God. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.

Blessed Virgin, who didst keep in thy heart the precious treasure of the words of Jesus thy Son and, pondering over the sublime mysteries therein contained, couldst live only for God, how am I confounded by the coldness of my heart! Ah, dear Mother, obtain for me the grace of meditating always on the holy law of God, and of seeking to follow thine example in the fervent practice of all the Christian virtues. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.

O Mary, Mystic Rose, whose lovable heart, burning with the living fire of love, adopted us as thy children at the foot of the Cross, becoming thus our most tender Mother, make me experience the sweetness of thy motherly heart and the power of thine intercession with Jesus, in all the dangers that beset me during life, and especially at the dread hour of my death; in such wise may my heart be ever united to thine, and love Jesus both now and through endless ages. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation. Amen.
[Raccolta #392]

FEAST OF THE HOLY FAMILY (08 January 2017)

O Lord, God of goodness and mercy, Who in the midst of an evil and sinful world hast presented to the society of the redeemed the Holy Family of Nazareth as a spotless mirror of piety, justice and love, behold how the family is being undermined on all sides, every effort being made to desecrate it by stripping it of faith, religion and morals. Regard the work of Thy own hands. Safeguard in our homes the domestic virtues, for these alone will ensure us harmony and peace.

Come and stir up the champions of the family. Bestir the modern apostles so that in Thy Name, bearing the message of Jesus Christ and exhibiting holiness of life, they may revive the doctrines of conjugal fidelity for married couples, the exercise of authority by parents, obedience on the part of children and modesty on the part of girls. Grant also through the efforts of these apostles, that the home favored by Thee with many blessings may again become an object of esteem and love in the minds and hearts of all.

It is through the examples of the divine model of Nazareth that the Christian family is to be restored in Jesus Christ and to recover its former respect and dignity. Then every home will again become a sanctuary and in every household will be rekindled the flame of faith to teach patience in adversity and moderation in prosperity and to promote order, peace and harmony in all things.

Under Thy paternal gaze, O Lord, and with confidence in Thy Providence and in the loving patronage of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the family will become a sanctuary of virtue and a school of wisdom. It shall prove, as Christ has promised, a haven of rest against life’s burdens. In the sight of the world it shall render glory to Thee, O Father, and to Thy Son, Jesus, until the day when, through Him, we shall, together with all His members, sing the divine praises in the eternal ages to come. Amen.
[Prayer for Christian Families, Pope Pius XII, 13 Jan 1957, Supplement to Raccolta]

CHRISTMAS DAY (25 December 2016)

We adore Thee, Divine Infant, our Lord, God, and King, Son of the Eternal Father and Son of Mary. O my dearest Redeemer, my Jesus, I praise Thine infinite mercy. I unite my voice to that of the Angel: Gloria in excélsis Deo, Glory to God in the highest (Lk 2:14). I thank Thee in the name of all mankind; but I thank Thee especially for myself, a miserable sinner. What would have become of me, what hope could I have of pardon and salvation, if Thou, my Savior, hadst not come down from heaven to save me? I praise Thee, then I thank Thee, and I love Thee. I love Thee above all things, I love Thee more than myself, I love Thee with all my soul, and I give myself all to Thee. Receive, O Sacred Infant, these acts of love; if they are but cold, because coming from a frozen heart, do Thou inflame this poor heart of mine, a heart that has offended Thee, but is now penitent. Yes, my Lord, I repent above all things for having despised Thee who hast loved me so much. Now I desire nothing but to love Thee; and this only do I beg of Thee: give me Thy love, and do with me what Thou wilt. I was once a slave of hell, but now that I am free from those unhappy chains, I consecrate myself entirely to Thee. I give Thee my body, my goods, my life, my soul, my will, and my whole liberty. I desire no longer to belong to myself, but only to Thee, my only good. Ah, bind my heart to Thy feet, that it may no more stray from Thee. O most holy Mary! obtain for me the grace of living always bound to thy Son by the blessed chains of love. Tell him to accept me as the slave of His love. He grants all that you ask. Pray to Him, pray to Him for me. This is my hope. Amen.

PRECIOUS BLOOD (17 July 2016)

INVOCATIONS TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD

Precious Blood of Jesus, shed in the Circumcision, make me chaste of mind, heart and body.

Precious Blood, sweat from every pore in the Agony of Jesus, grant me to love above all things the holy and adorable Will of God.

Precious Blood, flowing abundantly in the Scourging at the Pillar, inspire me with a keen sorrow for my sins and a love of suffering.

Precious Blood, falling in profusion from the Crown of Thorns, grant me a love of humiliations.

Precious Blood, furrowing the way to Calvary, fill me with courage to walk unfalteringly in the bloody footsteps of Jesus.

Precious Blood, shed so profusely in the Crucifixion of my Jesus, make me die entirely to self-love.

Precious Blood, shed to the very last drop by the opening of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, give me that generous love that sacrifices all for God.

SACRED HEART (3 June 2016)

PRAYER OF CONSECRATION

O Sacred Heart of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring and glorifying Thee. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with all my whole heart all that can displease Thee.

I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death. Be Thou, O most merciful Heart, my justification before God Thy Father, and screen me from His anger which I have so justly merited. I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope all from Thine infinite goodness. Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee. I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite goodness, grant that my name be engraved on Thee, for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants. Amen.

CORPUS CHRISTI (26 May 2016)

PRAYER OF REPARATION

O my God, I detest all the sins of my whole life, because they displease Thee; in particular, I sorrow for those sins which I committed against this Divine Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, by irreverence and the little profit elicited from so many Communions, by negligence in guarding my senses, particularly the tongue, which has been so often consecrated by Thy Divine Presence. O Jesus, my Lord and my God, I am unworthy to approach Thy holy Altar.

How utterly unworthy I am to receive Thee, my God! Thou art the Son of the living God, equal to Thy Father, infinitely good, powerful, wise, and holy, and I am nothing but misery and sin. Oh, cast me not away on account of my innumerable infidelities. I come before Thee, poor and altogether destitute of merit. Forgive my ingratitude; take pity on me, Thy poor weak child. I place all my trust in Thee, watch over and protect me in all my trials and temptations. I know, my dear Lord, I do not deserve Thy visit; but I know also, that in spite of all my miseries, Thou dost tenderly love me, and earnestly invitest me to receive Thee.

My sweet Jesus, I believe with a firm and lively faith, that in this adorable Sacrament are Thy Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. I believe that in this consecrated Host I shall receive that same Body which was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, which suffered so many pains and torments for love of me on the Cross, and which rose gloriously from the dead on the third day. I believe that I shall receive Thy most holy Soul enriched with all the treasures of the Divinity; that I shall receive God Himself.

I adore Thee, O my God, as my Creator, Preserver, Redeemer, and Judge, truly present in the Holy Eucharist. But do Thou strengthen my faith, and animate it with deeper sentiments of adoration and love. Amen.

ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER (1 May 2016)

O Mother of my God, and my Lady Mary; as a beggar, all wounded and sore, presents himself before a great queen, so do I present myself before thee, who art the Queen of heaven and earth. From the lofty throne on which thou sittest, disdain not, I implore thee, to cast thine eyes on me, a poor sinner. God has made thee so rich that thou mightest assist the poor, and has constituted thee Queen of Mercy in order that thou mightest relieve the miserable. Behold me then, and pity me: behold me and abandon me not, until thou seest me changed from a sinner into a saint.

O, exalted Virgin, well do I know that thou, who art Queen of the universe, art already my queen; yet I am determined to dedicate myself more especially to thy service, in order that thou mayest dispose of me as thou pleasest. Therefore do I address thee in the words of St. Bonaventure: “Do thou govern me, O my Queen, and leave me not to myself.”

Accept me, O Mary, for thine own, and as thine, take charge of my salvation. I will no longer be mine; to thee do I give myself. If, during the time past I have served thee ill, and lost so many occasions of honoring thee, for the future I will be one of thy most loving and faithful servants.

Jesus and Mary, my most sweet loves, for you may I suffer, for you may I die; grant that I may be in all things yours and in nothing mine. Amen.

FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER EASTER (24 April 2016)

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee. I ask pardon of Thee for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee. My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.

FEASTDAY OF OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE (19 September 2015)

Our Lady of La Salette, reconciler of sinners, pray without ceasing for us who have recourse to thee. Remember, our Lady of La Salette, true Mother of sorrows, the tears which thou didst shed for me on Calvary; be mindful also of the unceasing care which thou dost exercise to screen me from the justice of God; and consider whether thou canst now abandon thy child, for whom thou hast done so much. Inspired by this consoling thought, I come to cast myself at thy feet, in spite of my infidelity and ingratitude. Reject not my prayer, O Virgin of reconciliation, convert me, obtain for me the grace to love Jesus Christ above all things and to console thee too by living a holy life, in order that one day I may be able to see thee in heaven. Amen.

A PRAYER TO THE HOLY TRINITY

To God the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit, Three in One, be endless glory, as before the world began so evermore. Our morning lauds to Thee we raise, to Thee our evening songs of praise. O may it still our glory be to hymn Thy Name eternally. Direct our steps throughout this day we humbly implore Thee. Praise we the Father, praise the Son and the Holy Ghost, blessed Three in One, both now and evermore. Omnipotence of the Father, help my weakness and deliver me from the depth of misery. Wisdom of the Son, direct all my thoughts, words, and actions. Love of the Holy Ghost, be Thou the source and beginning of all the operations of my soul whereby they may be always conformable to the Divine Will. Amen.
