Falling Prey to Star Wars

Although many Catholics are unaware of it, we should know that much of our modern entertainment and pop-culture is seeped with occult ideas, such as New Age spirituality. Star Wars is a prime example from the fantasy/sci-fi genre that not only has bad physics, bad philosophy and bad theology, but also a bad spirituality. Watching Star Wars probably won’t condemn you, but it will most likely make you hunger for more and distract you from reality and the real war in the stars. The Scriptures speak of the angels and devils as stars, and their war over us has eternal consequences. We need to be serious about this spiritual combat, lest we fall prey in the real 'star wars' being waged all around us - and in us.
