SPECIAL TALKS BY FR. RODRIGUEZ

Journey to Tradition View description ▼ A personal testimony of Fr. Rodriguez's "conversion," that is, how he came to discover and adhere exclusively to the traditional Roman Mass. He considers this the greatest grace of his priesthood and hopes it may inspire laity, and especially brother priests, on a path of authentic Catholicism. Important elements were his awareness of the crisis in the Church, the desire to be a holier priest, and a love for the Mass. He explains many other details but reminds us to 'brace ourselves' for persecution. This is a path of carrying the Cross out of love for Christ and His Church, of trusting in God, and of giving thanks for any persecution. O God, send forth Thy light and Thy truth!

2019 LENTEN MISSION

Passion of Christ - Introduction View description ▼ In this 2019 Lenten Mission, Fr. Rodríguez preaches on the theme of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout the Mission he emphasizes the foundation of Catholic spirituality: Christ being formed in us and we conforming ourselves to Christ. Fr. Rodríguez points out that the Passion of Our Lord is what most conforms us to Jesus and unites us to Him, and he gives numerous examples from the lives of the Saints and stigmatics, e.g. St. Mary Magdalene, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joan of Arc, St. Veronica Giuliani, and St. Gemma Galgani. Father also points out that Jesus can never be separated from His Cross. In this Lenten Mission, Fr. Rodríguez reviews many practical ways on "How to Meditate on the Passion of the Lord." Finally, he preaches about the connection between the Passion of the Lord and the Liturgical Year, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and the Five Sacred Wounds.

Christ and the Liturgical Year Part1 View description ▼ During the course of the liturgical year we are celebrating the great mystery of our Savior Jesus Christ. The five most holy days provide the structure of the entire liturgical year: Christmas, epiphany, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost. Most Catholics fail to realize that, as Pius XII teaches, the liturgical year is Christ Himself - Who is ever living in His Church. We always have to keep making this act of Fatih for little of it is apparent to our senses. It is primarily through living the liturgical year that we come to truly know Christ, believe in Him, and follow Him. The liturgical year unites us to Him, and by it, we live His mysteries. Why is this important? Because this is what eternal life consists in (see Jn 17:3).

Podcast by Mr. David Rodríguez, M.Th.: PROJECT ON HOLD

FATIMA IN TWILIGHT

It was exactly one-hundred years ago that Our Lady of the Rosary first appeared at Fatima (13 May 1917). She brought us from Heaven the most important message for our times. Yet the vast majority of men remain ignorant of it or fail to obey it. Therefore, to honor this centenary anniversary, we have used this podcast to study the message in-depth. A particular emphasis was placed on understanding 20th century world history in light of Our Lady's message.

To listen to audio from this archived podcast or download episodes and notes please visit the Fatima in Twilight page.
